IoT Lock
The IoT Lock is an automated access control and warning system designed to prevent unauthorized opening of locked covers, doorways, and barriers to hazardous areas within the site. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Electrical distribution board cabinets
- Floor openings equal to or larger than 500mm x 500mm
- Entrances to confined space areas
- Lift shaft openings
The system employs an electronic lock and key system (fingerprint, mobile Bluetooth ID, Web ID, physical key) for securing access to hazardous areas on-site. The electronic lock can only be opened by authorized electronic keys, with the key owners' identities electronically embedded in the keys. A platform manages the updated key registration records periodically. Additionally, the status of the lock is displayed on the CMP.
When an unauthorized person attempts to open the electronic lock using an outdated Web ID key/wrong web ID key, the system will issue a warning siren with a minimum 70 dB noise level and a flashing red light. An alert notification (including the location of the tampered electronic lock, date and time of the incident, and the electronic key identification number) will be sent to the mobile devices of the concerned site supervisors, Safety Officer, etc., via email or Telegram. The siren can only be turned off by the concerned site supervisors, Safety Officer, etc., through the CMP.
